Chesapeake Collectibles launches an exciting all new fourth season on Thursdays, 8:00 PM on MPT-HD, starting January 9th, 2014. This highly successful flagship series explores our personal stories and shared history through our precious heirlooms. The fresh suite of antiques include treasures of unmatched historic importance, odd quirky charm and cherished family heritage, all evaluated with wit and wisdom by our returning team of favorite Appraisers.
The new season also boasts a first: "Appraiser Highlights" offer informative and intriguing tips for the quest for quality antiques. Our distinguished appraisers speak on topics ranging from "How to Spot a Fake" to "What Makes Good Art." The Appraiser Highlights alternate with our favorite feature stories as we also venture beyond the studio to explore unique and offbeat collections. Thereís an outing to Marylandís legendary electric guitar designer Paul Reed Smith, a trip to Williamsburg to explore exquisite 18th & 19th century furnishings of the rich and famous, and an incredible Star Wars collection – to name a few.
Viewers will want to stay tuned for information about how they can bring in their treasures during the filming of the fifth Chesapeake Collectibles series in 2014.
Major funding for CHESAPEAKE COLLECTIBLES Season 4 is provided by: Roland Park Place, the Ominski Family Charitable Foundation, and the Law Offices of Michael Hodes. Additional funding is provided, in part, by Alex Cooper Auctioneers, Inc. and Goodwill Industries of the Chesapeake.
